Years 1 to 6 →Why choose us
We nurture more than academic ability.
Academic knowledge matters. So does the ability to explain an idea, ask a question, work with others and approach new challenges with confidence. Our approach brings both together.
- Weekly confidence-building sessions are part of every enrolment, not an add-on.
- Every child starts with an assessment, so lessons begin where they actually are.
- Children learn to stand by their views respectfully, and to listen to others.
- Children build digital literacy and critical thinking through age-appropriate AI learning.

Our program
Bright minds and confident voices.
Maths and English tutoring for Years 1 to 6, weekly personality development, and age-appropriate AI learning. Here is what we teach at each stage.
Academic strength
Maths
We make sure children understand why, not just how, so each new topic at school builds on solid ground.
Counting, place value, adding and subtracting, shapes and simple measurement.
Times tables, division, fractions, time, money and problem solving.
Decimals, percentages, multi-step problems, data and early algebra.
Academic strength
English
Strong reading and writing are the base for every other subject. We build them step by step, with texts children enjoy.
Phonics, sight words, reading aloud with expression and writing full sentences.
Comprehension, paragraphs, grammar and punctuation, and narrative writing.
Inference, persuasive and informative writing, and editing their own work.
Personal growth · included at no extra fee
Personality development
Once a week, every child practises speaking up, sharing ideas, telling stories, presenting and learning to stand by their views respectfully.
Short talks that grow in length and polish.
Safe chances to try, get it wrong and try again.
Leading a group task and listening to others.
A typical weekly session
- Warm-upVoice and breathing games, then a quick “one thing I noticed this week”.
- Main activityThis week’s focus, from the four-week cycle below.
- Practice in pairsChildren try it with a partner and give one kind, useful tip.
- Share and reflectVolunteers present to the group. Everyone names one thing they did well.
Examples of weekly activities
Activities run in a four-week cycle and are adjusted for age, so a Year 1 child and a Year 6 child practise the same skill at a different level.
| Week | Focus | Younger children (Years 1–3) | Older children (Years 4–6) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Public speaking | Show and share: talk for one minute about an object from home. | Two-minute talk on a topic drawn from a hat, with a clear opening and close. |
| Week 2 | Storytelling | Story circle: each child adds a sentence to a shared story. | Tell a personal story with a beginning, a turning point and an ending. |
| Week 3 | Opinions and leadership | “Would you rather…?” Choose a side and give one reason. | Friendly debate: argue a view, then answer the other side respectfully. Teams take turns to lead. |
| Week 4 | Presentation day | Present a drawing or model to the group and answer one question. | Short presentation with notes or slides, followed by questions and feedback. |
Future skills · Years 1 to 6
AI learning
For Years 1 to 6, taught at each child’s level. Younger children discover what AI is through stories and games. Older children learn to use AI tools well and to think critically about what they produce.
How tools like chatbots learn from examples, and what they can and can’t do.
Writing clear questions and instructions, and improving them step by step.
Spotting mistakes and made-up facts, and checking against reliable sources.
Privacy, honesty in schoolwork, and when not to use AI at all.
Plan and present a small project that uses AI as a helper, not a replacement.
See where your child is today.
The assessment shows us which class and level will suit them best.
